The Preeceville and District Lioness Club hosted an Easter Ham Bingo on March 29 with proceeds allotted towards new mammography equipment at the Yorkton Hospital.
The East Central Health District sent out a challenge to all Lioness Clubs in the area to help raise money for new mammography equipment, stated Heather Gawrelitza, club representative.
“With thanks to Olymel for donating the ham prizes and everyone who helps to support this cause, we are able to donate $1,000 to a great cause that will help all women of this region. The Preeceville and District Lioness Club will present their donation live on a Radiothon being held April 29 and 30. There are 5,000 women in the region that use the equipment and early detection is the best way to save lives,” said Gawrelitza.
