Fundraiser Crop in the ground for another year

The Preeceville Recreation board once again arranged for a field west of Preeceville to be used as fundraiser crop.

The 70 acres was seeded to wheat, with the funds from the harvest going towards the bike and skate park committee. Last year the land was seeded into canola for the fundraiser crop for the Arena.

The wheat seeded was a surplus that the Arena had left over from a previous year.
"Thank you goes out to Hoterra Farms for supplying the land and Pattison Ag for supplying equipment and manpower which consisted of Wes Jaeb, Tim Olson, Evan Steppan, Jason Anaka and Conrad Peterson," said Andrea Tonn, recreation director, Town of Preeceville. “Nutrien Ag Solutions helped with the fertilizer needs and the Town of Preeceville shop employees also pitched in. There were many others who helped behind the scene.

"We are hoping for this to be a successful fundraiser to help us get closer to our fundraising goals for the bike and skate park," concluded Tonn.
