OK Tire has been part of the Canadian landscape since 1953 when a group of independent tire shops came together to increase the selection and service that they could offer to their customers, stated the OK Tire website. They have come a long way since then and are now the largest independent tire and auto service retailer in Canada.  Today, they have over 300 locations coast to coast, and continue to grow.

Preeceville Formo Motors has joined the team at OK Tire officially as of February. "We were looking at options to help make us more viable at the Preeceville location,” said Don Formo, owner of Preeceville Formo Motors. "OK Tire was a good fit with very competitive rates. The present location was finished with the Ford franchise eight years ago and OK Tire was a natural good option for us.

“The location offers state of the line tire equipment with a wheel alignment machine and professionally trained staff that can offer a better quality service. We also offer a wide variety of parts, automobile repairs, alignments and service.”

Formo Motors was established in Preeceville in 1964 under the management of Elmer Formo who had resided in Preeceville. At that time, they offered service work on “a little bit of everything from snowmobiles to farm equipment.”

Each OK Tire store is independently owned and operated, having quick and easy access to the product at the 11 regional OK Tire distribution centres that span across Canada, carrying the most popular sizes and brands in today’s market.

This ensures that when a customer comes into a retail location, they can obtain the tires that they need promptly and competitively. The services and products that are offered through the network of OK Tire Stores have been expanded to meet the changes in today’s market. These products and special programs include; truck, farm and specialty tire programs and of course passenger and light truck.

“Because our franchise locations are unique within the geographical area; each tailor their offering to meet their customers’ needs. We are proud that we can say we meet the demands of consumers in all Canadian provinces. We are 100 per cent Canadian owned and operated local service providers with the benefit of national support. Our customers get nationwide warranties on tires, mechanical services and the personal service of a local owner/manager who lives in, shops in, and supports their community,” stated the website.
