Preeceville elementary students conclude year with achievement and fun day

Preeceville School elementary students were joined by their parents in an achievement and awards day that concluded with a picnic lunch and fun day on June 21. Students from Kindergarten to Grade 3 were each acknowledged by their school teachers.

Preeceville School elementary students were joined by their parents in an achievement and awards day that concluded with a picnic lunch and fun day on June 21.

Students from Kindergarten to Grade 3 were each acknowledged by their school teachers. The students in Grade 4-6 were all acknowledged for academic and sports achievements.

Teachers who will not be returning to the school next year were acknowledged with a farewell. Those teachers were: Meghan Morton, who is on maternity leave; Sarah and Les DeRuiter, who are moving to British Columbia, and Bonnie Lisitza and Sheila Klebeck, who are retiring.

The new teachers who will be joining the staff next year will be: Kelly Dieker (Kindergarten); Dallas Burym (Grade 1); Ally Rock (Grade 3); Kaylyn Kouch (Grade 6); Alecia Longman (student services teacher); and Allison Hull (levelled literacy intervention and middle years teacher).

The awards portion concluded with an outdoor picnic lunch where students were joined by their parents. It was followed by a fun play afternoon with many activities.
