Preeceville Wildlife acknowledged its hunters and fisherman

The Preeceville branch of the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation acknowledged its hunters and avid fishermen in a special appreciation.

The Preeceville branch of the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation acknowledged its hunters and avid fishermen in a special appreciation. Due to COVID-19 the club was unable to host its annual banquet and awards evening in the spring and recently handed out its awards to winning entries.

"Unfortunately, the awards this year were postponed and were handed out personally to each winner. There were lots of categories with no entries again this year but there was an increase in the number of entries over the past few years," said Heather Gawrelitza, club treasurer and secretary.

Gary Jakubowski received the Frank Arnie award for the largest overall fish that weighed 30 pounds.

Bev Masko received the Dan Hort Memorial for Largest Walleye that weighed nine pounds.

Mason Bilan received the Rob Neitling Memorial award for Junior Male Northern Pike that weighed 13 pounds. Bilan also received the Junior Male White-Tailed Deer award for his entry that measured 146 and one eighth and the Junior Male Typical Mule Deer award that measured 170 and seven eighths.

Colin Masko received the Lorin Tonn Memorial award for largest elk entry that measured 369 and five eighths.

Bernie Maskymiw received the Male Bull Moose award for his entry that scored 155 and three eighths.

Steven Geistlinger received the Sam Bowey award for largest white-tailed deer that measured 166 and four eighths.

Cole Russell, 3, received the Orville Bjornstad Youngest Male Fisherman award.

Teagan Masko, 3, received the Youngest Female Fisherman award.

Noah Tonn received the Men's Perch award for his entry that weighed two pounds and the Male Non-Typical Mule Deer award that scored 180 and seven eighths.

Sarah Masko received the Junior Female Walleye award that weighed 6.1 pounds. Masko also received the Junior Female Tullibee award for her entry that weighed two pounds.

Rita Myhr received the Female Walleye award for her entry that weighed 7.1 pounds.

Zander Neitling received the Junior Male Northern Pike award at 5.5 pounds.

Mark Tonn received the Male Northern Pike award for his entry that weighed 19.3 pounds. Tonn also received the Male Elk award for his entry that measured 252 and three eighths.

Lyndon Gawrelitza received the Junior Male Lake Trout award at 9.1 pounds.

Claire Masko received the Junior Female Rainbow Trout award for her entry that weighed one pound.

Owen Draper won the Junior Male Rainbow Trout award at 1.3 pounds.

Brooke Huska won the Female Rainbow Trout award for her entry that weighed 2.2 pounds.

Scott Masko received the Male Tiger Trout award for his entry that weighed 3.2 pounds.

Colleen Bilan received the Female Bass award for her entry at 2.5 pounds.

Paje Reynolds received the Junior Female White-Tailed Deer award for her entry that scored 115 and five eights.

Denity Nelson was awarded the Female White-Tailed Deer award at 143 and seven eighths.

Darcy Rediger received the Male White-Tailed Deer award for a score of 153 and five eighths.

Chloe Chornomitz received the Junior Female Non-Typical White-Tailed Deer with a score of 140 and six eighths.

Adam Russell received the Male Non-Typical White-Tailed Deer award for his entry that scored 169 and he also received the Male Archery Moose award for his entry with no score reported.

Todd Pankratz received the Junior Male Moose award for his entry that measured 157 and six eighths.

Shelby Sliva received the Female Moose award for her entry that measured 142 and four eighths.

Janine Townsend received the Female Elk with a score of 142 and four eighths.

Aspen Boyle received the Female Typical White-Tailed Deer award for a score of 163 and three eighths.

Arden Jakubowski received the Male Mule Deer award for his entry that scored 184. He also received the bear award for his entry that scored 21 and thirteen sixteenths.

Cody Zubko received the Male Archery Mule Deer award for his entry that measured 182 and three eighths.

Shayna Waite received the Female Non-Typical Mule Deer award for her entry that measured 158 and five eighths.

Dylan Myhr received the Pheasant award for his entry that scored 36 Bars.
