Around 3:30 p.m. on April 28, Kamsack RCMP responded to a complaint of a sudden death in a residence on the 300 block of First Avenue North in the village of Hyas, according to an RCMP release. An initial investigation resulted in the RCMP Major Crime Unit North becoming engaged.
The deceased adult male’s identity has been confirmed and his family has been notified. The investigation undertaken by the RCMP Major Crime Unit – North, Kamsack RCMP, and Saskatchewan Coroners Service determined no foul play was involved in his death. Since the death is not suspicious in nature, no further updates will be released with regards to this investigation.
