Sturgis Station House among museums to give annual report at Seneca Root meeting

The Sturgis Station House Museum hosted a Seneca Root Museum Association meeting with nine museums in attendance at the Sturgis Grace United Hall on April 24.

The Sturgis Station House Museum hosted a Seneca Root Museum Association meeting with nine museums in attendance at the Sturgis Grace United Hall on April 24.

Museums represented were: Sturgis Station House, Preeceville and District Heritage, Kamsack Power House, Canora Station House, Ukrainian Heritage in Canora, Heritage Village in Veregin, Melville Heritage, Fort Pelly Livingstone and Saltcoats.

Chelsey Johnson, Parkland Valley and Sports representative was in attendance and spoke briefly on the sports activities available. Wendy Finch from the Museum Association of Saskatchewan was also in attendance. Finch spoke on what is new with updates and new policies, stated Myrtle Boychuk, Sturgis Station House Museum representative. "She also spoke on the data received from museums," she added.

Each museum gave a report of activities and events scheduled for the new season.
