Town Council discusses numerous topics

The Town of Preeceville council met for a regular council meeting September 11 and discussed many issues. The minutes from the August regular council meeting were approved to be released to the public, according to Lorelei Karcha, adminstrator.

The Town pf Preeceville received an estimate from Fer-Marc Equipment Ltd. for the Zamboni Inspection and Repairs for $4,485 plus taxes and approved these repairs.

Jesse Nelson was hired for the new position of Arena Manager/Shop Labourer.

The Master Crossing Agreement between SaskTel and the Town of Preeceville was approved as presented and the Mayor and Administrator were authorized to sign the agreement.

Four new building permits and two building permit extensions were approved by Council.                                                                 

The shop foreman and one shop employee were authorized to attend the Saskatchewan Water and Wastewater Association Convention in November.

The Lease agreement for the Studio Dance One Club was renewed for its rental space at the Preeceville Recreation Center.

In a special meeting held August 27, council discussed the Waste Water Treatment Facilty project.

The Wastewater Treatment Facility (Lagoon) Construction Contract was awarded to Acadia Construction Management Ltd.

The Town Council approved Sask power to install electrical services to the Town’s lagoon site.
