Truck Driver of the Year gives back to community

Nathan Draper of Preeceville received the Truck Driver of the Year award from Weyerhaeuser as a result of his positive trucking performance.

Nathan Draper of Preeceville received the Truck Driver of the Year award from Weyerhaeuser as a result of his positive trucking performance. The letter that he received from the company stated that he had been selected as a co-recipient for the award.

The criteria for the award was based on the percentage of overweight load violations, speeding infractions, daily hours of service, safe load audits, truck inspection results and compliance.

Draper received a certificate and was allowed to select local organizations to receive the donations.

The Preeceville Fire Department received $2,500 and the Preeceville Arena received $1,000, in total $3,500 was donated through Draper's driver performance record and Truck Driver of the Year Award.
