Ball games featured at Preeceville Western Weekend

The two-day slo-pitch tournament at the Preeceville Western Weekend on July 15 and 16 featured nine teams competing for $2,800 in prize money.

The two-day slo-pitch tournament at the Preeceville Western Weekend on July 15 and 16 featured nine teams competing for $2,800 in prize money.

            Teams entered were: Suicide Squad, KK, Sons of Pitches, Thunder Monkeys, Bomb Squad, Bat Attitude, Long Horns, CL Bombers and West Side Ballers.

            The KK team defeated the Bomb Squad to claim the first prize of $1,500.

            The senior slo-pitch tournament featured four teams: the Assiniboine Aces and teams from Melville, Kamsack and Swan River.

            The Aces won the tournament with three wins, zero losses.  Swan River was second with  two wins, one loss; Melville, third, one win, two losses, and Kamsack had three losses.
