Preeceville Minor Hockey set for new season

Preeceville Minor Hockey hosted a reorganization and general meeting that focused on scheduling for all teams on October 19.

Prior to teams hitting the ice for practices a power skate program that featured on and off- ice sessions was held on October 20 and 21 with 45 players registered.

Some of the topics discussed at the annual general meeting featured a rib supper fund raiser scheduled for November 20 with two sittings, reported Candace Kuta, secretary.

Team game schedules should be available the middle of next week. Team and individual pictures are scheduled for this week during practice times, reported Kuta.

Other executive members are, Jesse Nelson, president; Dean Serdachny, vice-president; and members-at-large are: Jocelyn Schultz, Andrea Tonn, Keri Gardener, Cory Paul, Jason Anaka, Stacey Boychuk and Kyla Galiz.

Preeceville Minor Hockey Day is scheduled for January 12, 2019. The novice will be hosting a home tournament on December 15. There will be an officials’ clinic scheduled for November 24; a goalie clinic on December 15 and a coach's level clinic on December 1.

Practice times scheduled for teams feature: IP, novice, atom and bantams practices on Mondays and Wednesdays with practices for pee wee and midgets on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Dean Serdachny is the coach for Initiation Players (IP) and atoms; Jason Anaka is the coach for novice; Jesse Nelson will coach the peewees; Wes Jaeb will coach the bantams and Kirby Pankratz will be responsible for coaching the midgets.
