The Preeceville Panthers football team made a grand effort but came up short to end its football season. The 32-22 loss ended the Panthers season when the Porcupine Plain Bears defeated Preeceville in a home playoff game on October 12.

"It was a tough loss for the team that wound up ending our season," said Jeremy Mattison, coach. "The players left everything they had on the field but unfortunately it was not enough. It was close game but Porcupine pulled ahead and we could not catch up with them," said Mattison.

The season started out strong and with a lot of promise for the team with three straight wins but one tough loss seemed to take its toll on the team, stated Mattison.

The team will be losing five graduating players but will be focusing on re-building next season, said Mattison.
