Preeceville Peewee Pats come back to win Yorkton series and advance in playoffs

The Preeceville Pats peewee hockey team defeated Yorkton in a best of three series to advance to play against Moosomin. Preeceville hosted Yorkton on February 27 to face off in the first game, which ended with a 9 to 6 loss for the home team.

Preeceville hosted Yorkton on February 27 to face off in the first game, which ended with a 9 to 6 loss for the home team. Scoring for Preeceville were: Xage Miraflor (three goals), Bryker Smith, Jake Soltys and Cole Secundiak. Assists were by: Mason Babiuk, Kimmuel Albarracin, Jace Vogel and Jake Soltys.

The second game was held in Yorkton on March 6 with a Preeceville 9 to 4 win. The game sheet was unavailable.

The third game was held in Preeceville and ended in a 12 to 2 win for the home team.

Scoring for Preeceville were, Bryker Smith (six goals), Avery Franklin, Kimmuel Albarracin, Jace Vogel, Xage Miraflor, Camryn Nelson and Nathan Anaka. Assists were by: Jace Vogel, Nathan Newbery, Zander Purdy, Mason Babiuk and Bryker Smith.

The Pats will now face off against Moosomin on March 18 in Moosomin, March 22 in Preeceville and March 24 in Preeceville.
