Preeceville rinks grabbed the top two spots in the Canora Mixed Bonspiel held on March 29 and 30.
The eight team bonspiel was the final event of the curling season at the Canora Curling Club, and featured six teams from Canora and two from Preeceville. The Brandon Draw points scoring system was used to declare the winners after each team played three games.
The first place team was made up of: Perry Pasiechnik (skip), Laura Pasiechnik (third), Minnie Zimmer (second) and Agnes Dubelt (lead.)
The second place team, also of Preeceville, included: Nick Bodnar (skip), Blaine Medlang (second), Joanne Boechler (second) and Phil Murrin (lead.)
Canora rinks participating in the bonspiel were: Don Probe, James Trofimenkoff, Vern Schick, Ron Hoehn, Brigitte Herriges and Bob Kolodziejski.
